(22.01.2026) A memorable afternoon at the official launch of Contract Law in Malaysia (2nd Edition), published by Thomson Reuters, and held at the Faculty of Law, University of Malaya.
Congratulations to the authors, Dr Cheong May Fong, Choong Shaw Mei and Yong Kai Jie on an important and timely contribution to Malaysian contract law. The second edition continues to serve as a valuable reference for both practitioners and students.
The achievement is especially meaningful for the UM Law community. Dr Cheong, a former Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Malaya, and Ms Choong are both proud alumni of the Faculty.
The launch was graciously officiated by YA Tan Sri Ahmad Terrirudin bin Mohd Salleh, Judge of the Federal Court and a UM Law alumnus, adding special significance to the occasion. This was followed by an engaging panel discussion with the authors, moderated by Raphael Ren, also a UM Law alumnus.
